Our Killara Long Day Care Centre offers:
Finding the right childcare for your children is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make. The knowledge and experiences they gain between now and six years of age will shape the foundations for their future education — and their lives.
At Daystars Killara, we understand how precious this formative time is for your children.
This is why we strive to offer children a tailored academics, fun, and wellbeing education program that sets them up for life.
At Daystars Killara, we encourage creative and structured play in all areas of our curriculum. This fosters children’s curiosity, problem-solving, and social skills.
Through play, children learn social skills and teamwork and discover what can happen when they let their imaginations run free.
Guided by the values and principles of the Early Years Learning Framework, we aim to create an exceptional place where children begin ‘learning for life’.
Children who attend Daystars Killara for three or more days per week enjoy greater academic and social outcomes.
We recommend that children aged 0-3 attend a minimum of two days and that children aged 3-5 attend at least three days per week.
Our Discoverers Program offers infants aged 0-2 a supportive and nurturing learning environment to develop their independence, movement skills, language, and social skills. Children learn through movement and hands-on exploration.
Our Explorers Program offers toddlers aged 2-3 a holistic learning experience that encourages sensory exploration, creativity, independence, problem-solving, and social skills. Toddlers develop learning confidence through experience.
Our Inventors Program offers preschoolers aged 3-5 a dynamic learning program that prepares them for school. Children develop school readiness skills and competence in all areas of their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Our educational approach is informed by the Australian Government’s Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) which focuses on play-based learning and structured learning experiences.
To provide children and their families with quality early childhood education and care in a stimulating and nurturing environment where every child sparkles.
We offer an intensive School Readiness and Kindergarten Prep Program to prepare our Preschool children for a successful transition to school.
